The Service

Fence Cleaning

Fences take weather from both sides and never get the attention the house does. Vinyl goes chalky and green along the bottom, wood goes grey and grows mildew where it stays shaded.

Vinyl and aluminum fencing gets a soft wash. The algae and chalking release and the panels come back white instead of that dull green grey, without the pitting you get from hitting vinyl too hard.

Wood fencing gets a cleaner and low pressure, same approach as a deck. The weathered layer lifts, the grain stays closed, and the fence is ready for stain or sealer if you want to protect it while it looks good.

Common Questions

Good to know

  • Can you clean both sides of my fence?

Where we have access, yes. If the far side backs up to a neighbor’s yard we will need their okay to get to it, so let us know ahead of the quote if that is the situation.

  • Will cleaning make my wood fence look new?

It will get a lot closer than you expect. Cleaning removes the grey weathered layer and the mildew and brings the natural tone back. Boards that are actually rotted or split still need replacing, and we will point those out.

  • Can I stain the fence right after?

Give it a few dry days first. Wood needs to come back down to a workable moisture level or the stain will not penetrate and it will peel on you within a season.

  • Does vinyl fencing really need cleaning?

It does here. Vinyl does not rot, but it holds algae and chalking, especially on the shaded side and along the bottom rail. A soft wash brings the white back without pitting the surface.
